The Bratwurst is a German style sausage made from pork.
It is created using coriander, cumin and nutmeg with a minimum of 90% meat. This sausage is made without gluten.
The name is derived from the Old High German Brätwurst. Brät meaning finely chopped meat, and Wurst meaning sausage.
Other recipe variations could be made with either veal or beef. But this sausage is most commonly made using pork.
This sausage is ideal for BBQ's and making delicious hotdogs at home.
We occasionally make this sausage around October for Oktoberfest celebrations locally. You can find it at our stall in The English Market.
